Psalm 37:1-6
1 Do not fret because of evildoers,
Nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
And wither as the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.
6 He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your justice as the noonday.
Our faith is not based on what we see others doing.
Or whether we see others prospering.
We should not be shaken because evil people thrive in an evil world.
This is not a surprise.
This life is temporary.
Any wealth or prosperity in this world, will pass away.
The evildoer, their evil, and any worldly thing they have will all be gone.
This world will be destroyed, and we will have a new earth and a new heaven.
We must dwell in this life, in this world, for now.
And while we are here, we should do good for God.
We should find joy in working for the Lord.
If we will take pleasure in serving Him and helping others, then He will delight in us.
Be committed to God, faithful and trusting in Him.
See our hearts change to conform to His will.
Let the Lord fill us with His love and wisdom, His righteousness and justice.
Then we will shine bright in this world of darkness.
In Jesus' absence, we are His light in the world.
Become the light that God made us to be.
Beacons of hope in this dark world.
